Thrown by Kelsie Whitmore in the top of the 1st inning of Game 1 of the inaugural WPBL Championship Series, the ball recorded the first strikeout in the history of the league's title round as Whitmore retired Ayuri Shimano. The at-bat matched two of the league's premier two-way players in the opening frame of the best-of-five series between the San Francisco Firebells and Los Angeles Queens on September 16, 2026 at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois. Los Angeles rallied from a 6-2 deficit to win the opener 7-6 and went on to claim the first WPBL championship, giving the ball a place at the very start of the champions' final series.

A TRuEST™ authenticator was on-site to witness this item's official use, verifying its direct involvement in the game.
