Created specifically for four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP Stephen Curry, these 2021 Under Armour Curry Flow 9 "Elmo" Player Exclusive Promo Samples are part of Curry Brand's collaboration with Sesame Street. Made in Curry's personal size 13, this pair combines the performance technology of his ninth signature shoe with playful design elements inspired by his favorite Sesame Street character.
The Sesame Street collaboration featured seven character-inspired colorways, including the Elmo edition known as "Dribble Me Elmo." Curry has personally named Elmo as his favorite character, explaining that Elmo's infectious laughter, positivity, and ability to bring out the best in others reflect the same joy he strives to bring to basketball.
The partnership also celebrated a shared commitment to inspiring young people and supporting underserved communities.
The sneakers feature vibrant coral-red mesh uppers with a distinctive crisscross pattern, furry tongues inspired by Elmo's appearance, and custom Elmo graphics near the ankles. Curry's personal logos appear on the lateral heels, while two-tone black-and-coral laces complement the design. Gray midsoles with black and orange speckling and matching gray outsoles complete the colorway.
Introduced in 2021, the Curry Flow 9 incorporated Under Armour's lightweight Flow cushioning and UA Warp upper technology, designed to support Curry's quick movements and precise footwork. The model debuted during Golden State's 2021–22 championship season, when Curry became the NBA's all-time three-point leader and led the Warriors to their fourth title in eight seasons.
